THE BEATLES - PLEASE PLEASE ME LP (2ND UK 'BLACK AND GOLD' MONO PRESSING - PMC 1202). A wonderful condition 2nd UK 'black and gold' mono pressing of the debut long player from the fab four. Side 1 of the record (Parlophone black and gold label design, PMC 1202, with Northern Songs credits for A1, A2,B4 & B6 and Dick James credits for A6 & A7) is in Ex condition showing a couple of very light paper scuff/hairline marks to the playing surfaces, these never at all heavier feelable scratches. Side 2 is in superb Ex+ condition showing only a couple of extremely minor, faint and wispy paper marks. Matrix/mother stampers: XEX 421-1N 2 RD & XEX 422-1N 12 GM. Housed with lovely original Parlophone outstanding records for your collection catalogue sheet and very clean original Emitex inner. The first printing ('right' aligned Angus McBean credit) large mono sleeve is in very sharp Ex condition showing only very slight wear to the front and a little foxing to the reverse. Fantastic to see the reverse flipback tabs in such clean order, the spine extremely sharp and fully legible, and without any rips, tears or seam splits throughout. No need to upgrade!
