QUEEN - QUEEN LP (ORIGINAL UK WHITE LABEL TEST PRESSING 'POP GROUP CONFERENCE '73). A wonderful and key addition to any Queen collection with this original UK white label test pressing of the band's debut eponymous release from 1973. Also included in the lot are white label test pressings from John Lees and James Webley, two other artists that EMI were plugging at the time at their Pop Group Conference '73. The Queen LP is in fantastic Ex+ condition showing only a couple of extremely faint, slight and wispy paper marks. Matrix (machine stamped)/runout (etched): YAX 4623-3N KIP-HUGGYPOO-KISSY & YAX 4624-2U OFF WITH HIS HEAD with 1 G mother stampers both sides. Both the John Lees (interestingly this was not released until 1977 with the catalogue number 'SHVL 811' shelved) and James Webley LPs are in clean Ex+ condition. All three releases are housed with clean original promotional sleeves with an original picture cover for Queen (EMC 3006) also included. Provenance: Consigned by the vendor who worked for EMI in the 1970s with this copy acquired at the conference in 1973.
